CHALLENGE
How do we take something small—really small—and make it big. Like, 10,000x big. I challenged myself to prototype a cross section of a wood cell at many scale from 10x to 10,000x scale in order to explore how scale affects how we perceive the environment.
OUTCOME
Initially, a 10,000x scaled wood cell cross section. Later, the project morphed into an environment for insect and animals. In the nooks and crannies of the decomposable / tentative structure, insects and small animals might find temporary refuge.
